THE HARD WORKING DAD DESERVES A TREAT

Wherever you stand on the ‘’Mother gets more celebrated than Dad does in the year” debate, it’s Father’s Day and a special meal is one of those traditions – a must! And yes, the saying about hearts and stomachs has enough semblance of truth in it to survive the ages, so here are some ideas….

Something Spicy
A hot bowl of well-garnished low carb pepper soup. And when we say well garnished, we mean lamb, beef, jerky, and/or seafood. Don’t forget the Quoin Rock’s Red Blend 2015 to seal the deal.

Let the Kids in on Kitchen Duty
You probably have this all lined up: you make orders, kids help with the decoration and special numbers, and the extended family get to send in their cards. But do you have the kids in on preparing the meals? Get them to really know dad. Bound to tug at his heart strings; cue violin strains…
Take Him Out
Home is the new office . This post – COVID half of the year still recorded a significant amount of WFH. SO, why not give him a break from Zoom. Plan a romantic family barbecue (and no, that’s not oxymoronic). Take him to the beach.

His Favourite Meal
We saved the best two for last. It should be no quiz for you, right? If there’s one thing he wants on a special day like Father’s Day , it’s what he wants every day. If he drools over a bucket of chicken, now’s the time to get him some KFC or even Mama Put! You’re not to reason why – just do it!
Or, What He’s Craving
There’s always that meal or snack that the man in your life has never gotten around to having. Check up your ‘Things About My Dad/Hubby’ notes and surprise him with his food crush.
Happy Father’s Day, and store up those brownie points for Mother’s Day!
