Nearly Made in Nigeria – The Diaspora Millenials Episode

We hosted a previous episode where we had expatriates share their Lagos experiences– and we got amazing feedback. In this new episode, we almost touch the opposite end of the expats’ edition. Our guests, Seyi and Aisha, are millennials in the diaspora.

They are born and bred in the diaspora but identify as Nigerians. But how true is this and how Nigerian are they really? The angst, the agony and the ecstasy of the diaspora millennial is deeply moving and searingly thought-provoking.

One to listen to – again and again.

Here are a few things to expect:

  • What Nationality or identify do they claim?
  • How Nigerian are they, really?
  • Dating while black
  • Can you be your whole self in the diaspora?
  • We go personal – it’s a laugh!

“If I wanted a Nigerian woman I was looking to date… I will have to specifically… go to Nigerian events so I can meet Nigerians, otherwise, I wouldn’t run into them.”

– Seyi
